Tax Receipt

If you donated through payroll deduction, the amount will appear on your T4 slip. If you contribute by cash, cheque, or credit card, a receipt will be issued by United Way for gifts of $25 or more and are mailed directly to the donor’s home address.

In-kind donation Defined

An in-kind donation is a non-cash gift made to a nonprofit organization, including goods, services, time, and expertise. Individuals, corporations, and businesses can all make in-kind donations.

Your generous in-kind contributions help us reduce operational costs and allocate resources more effectively, improve our financial flexibility by allowing us to use funds for other essential needs. In-kind donations also reduce the time it takes for us to purchase and deliver essential products and services to youth in need. It also gives you a chance to see exactly where your donation goes and how it benefits the youth who participate in the army cadet charitable program in Brampton. Your generosity will help creating a positive environmental impact. 

Please note, that we do not accept used clothing items. We are unable to pick up any donation items, and require all items to be delivered to us.

Below is a list of our most needed items for the cadet youth. The Corps Support Committee has limited storage space, so we prioritize items on our most needed list:

• Food and Beverages: Donations of non-perishable food items, snacks, and drinks and bottled water for our weekly cadet training program, and sports training, practices and competitions and holiday meals

• Grocery gift cards: $20.00 each or more (i.e., No Frills, Food Basics, Walmart, Amazon)

• New Items: including running shoes, backpacks, school supplies, project supplies, hygiene and toiletry products are donated to youth for weekend camps throughout the year.

• Sports equipment: camping equipment, running shoes for boys and girls (of all sizes) for sports activities

• Boot Polish Kits: For the boys and girls to shine their uniform dress boots

• Professional Services: Guest speakers for youth education, printing and photocopying, social media marketing, website design and maintenance.

• We do accept other in-kind donations of goods and services but please contact us first.
